9th INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS STUDIES AND HUMAN SYMPOSIUM
The Past and Present of Islamic Thought and Action History
-The Voice Rising from Gaza-
Dear Scientists, Educators, and Esteemed Participants,
In Islamic history, knowledge and action have been accepted as two inseparable values, and as a reflection of this understanding, both action without knowledge and knowledge without action have been criticized. In this regard, thought and action have always been mentioned side by side in our tradition, and the practical life reflection of a thought that has evolved in the field of thinking has been called action. Countless thought and action movements have flourished within our civilization throughout the ages, and one of the last and most magnificent links in this chain has been Palestine’s holy resistance struggle that has been continuing for almost a century. This precious voice rising from Gaza has become a breath of life for souls pregnant with resurrection and Islamic leaven for conscientious hearts; it has displayed the horizon of faith, ihsan, wisdom, guidance, jihad, and perseverance, which was assumed to be lost between the lines of Islam, in its most embodied form.
All evaluations made without examining the intellectual front of an action, without wandering through the lines of the effect that is the basis of the reaction, without knowing the history and geography of the relevant region, the psychology and sociology of the people, will be incomplete and misleading. Determining the direction and future of a resistance story lies in examining its past. Indeed, a movement cannot be properly understood unless its driving elements are contemplated.
Therefore, to grasp the truth of the Palestinian resistance, which holds an exceptional place in Islam’s thought and action course, it is necessary to know well the history and geography of the Middle East in general and Palestine in particular, their religious and cultural codes, and their scientific and practical characteristics.
Based on this purpose, we are very happy and excited to organize the symposium titled “The Past and Present of Islamic Thought and Action History: The Voice Rising from Gaza,” which aims to: – Address Palestinian-centered social, cultural, religious, and political issues in the context of Islamic thought and action history with their transformations in modern and postmodern periods – Determine how the resurrection herald rising from Gaza resonates in the Islamic world and beyond in terms of social responsibility and social justice – Understand and explain Gaza’s unique place in the Islamic world by examining its historical, cultural, and intellectual role from a multidimensional perspective
We are honored to host all scientists who will contribute to the symposium, which will be attended by expert researchers, in Konya, the capital of the Seljuks, and we await the attendance of knowledge seekers who heed the voice rising from Gaza.
